Biostimulators (Collagen-Stimulating Injections)

Biostimulators are injectable treatments that stimulate your skin’s own collagen production for gradual, natural-looking lift and firmness. At DermLab we use recognised options such as poly-L-lactic acid (e.g., Sculptra®) and calcium hydroxylapatite (e.g., Radiesse®). Unlike traditional dermal fillers that add gel volume immediately, biostimulators work with your skin to rebuild structure over time.

How It Works

  1. Consultation – A Dermatologist may recommend biostimulators as part of your plan, or you can book directly with our Specialist Nurse Injector for assessment

  2. Treatment – Product is placed with needle or microcannula at the right depth to stimulate collagen safely and evenly

  3. Aftercare – Mild swelling is common. With poly-L-lactic acid, massage may be advised (often 5 minutes, 5 times a day, for 5 days). Your injector will guide you

  4. Results – Gradual improvement appears over 6–12 weeks as new collagen forms; benefits build with each session
